Workshops and Games

We have multiple workshops lined up and we are always open to adding new ones, so let us know if you have something to share.
This years games will be both on Saturday and Sunday, and we'll be adding some things for non-jugglers as well as jugglers to keep it fun for everyone.

Workshops Descriptions (not all workshops have descriptions)

Mindfulness Hooping - Jennifer Wilson
Hula hooping represents different things
to different people. I am currently focusing on mindfulness in my hoop practice. This workshop will explore mindful movement meditation with the hoop. We will set some intentions for the weekend and spin ourselves into bliss. All levels are welcome and encourage.

 




Creative Process- Maryeve Gaudreau

mary eve.jpgIn this workshop I propose some creativity exercises to help you create your own awesome combo and transition. It will help you to bring new elements to your flow, and help you if you want to create original choreography.  I'll share some ideas and concepts that i use to find inspirations and then we'll explore and play with it.







Dawn Marie (Dawn Dreams) Performer,  Instructor and contributing author to the Flow Arts Institute will be doing 2 workshops and performing in the Gala show.



"Get into your body" Dawn Marie
Dawn walks us through a warm-up routine for your body that anyone can start with and anyone can benefit from. Begins with basic body movements and progress to 1-2 and 3 ball body throws.


One Ball Contact - Dawn Marie

"Introduction to Contact Juggling/Body Rolling theory All Levels If you have never tried contact juggling before, this is your chance. This workshop is new framework for learning contact juggling, aimed at trying to get people to be capable to do body rolling more efficiently. Starting with some basic balances, Dawn will lead you through some drills to learn arm rolling on each side, steps to lead up to butterfly theory, and lead you into some basic chest roll theory at the end. All levels accepted!"

Sean Haddow
Sean has been playing with cigar boxes for more than 20 years. In this beginner / intermediate workshop we will start with some basic box moves and exercises working our way up to some of the latest tricks with boxes.

Beginner hoop - Florie Planchot 
Originally from the South of France Florie, has traveled the world. Currently living in Kingston she has been hooping and juggling for a little more than 2 years now.  She be demonstrating beginning moves and some transitions relative to the skill level of those who join her for the workshop.




Diabolo workshop -Sebastian Ferlo 
"Off the string" is the title of this unique workshop. Sebastian has been studying and implementing a wide variety of ways to toss, turn, stall and otherwise use a diabolo off the string. He'll show you waht he has learned and inspire to look at you diablolo in a different light
